1. Orders to evacuate from
the interior of a structure of from an area will be givenfirst by air horn sound signal then followed by radio
transmission to interior teams. [The rationale for this sequence is (a)
the sound signal is most reliable and most likely to be heard, (b) the
radio reports will not be drowned out by the horns, (c) immediately after
the sound signal unit personnel can assist with evacuation and account for
personnel.]
2. Audio signal for evacuation
shall be one (1) prolonged (20 count) blast of the air-horn on each
apparatus following the radio transmission to evacuate. The coordination
of this signal will be by radio as follows:
"EMERGENCY...EMERGENCY...EMERGENCY
ROCKLEIGH COMMAND TO ALL UNITS ...
STAND-BY TO SOUND EVACUATION SIGNAL WITH AIR HORNS ON MY COMMAND...
I SAY AGAIN, STAND-BY TO SOUND AIR-HORN EVACUATION SIGNAL ON MY COMMAND
...[ give pump operators time to enter cab ]
ROCKLEIGH COMMAND TO ALL UNITS ...
SOUND ONE 20 SECOND BLAST ... NOW...NOW...NOW "
3. Radio orders to evacuate from

transmission will be as follows:

WITHDRAW FROM BUILDING AT ONCE...
I SAY AGAIN, WITHDRAW FROM BUILDING AT ONCE...
3. Following evacuation,
all units shall account for their compliment personnel and report to ICO.
The ICO shall order the accounting as follows:
