the Chief of the Department for the specific purpose of Re-Organizing
the Rockleigh Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.

MINUTES
of the Special Meeting of 3 September 2002
1.
Call to order by Chief April at 8:15. Members present included,
Ernie April, Doug Johnsen, Nick Langella, Mike Malhame, John Mazanec, John
Mender, Bill Schaller, Scott Weinstein and Melanie Campolong
(day). A quorum was present.
2.
Transaction of Business:
a.
Chief April summarized the recent history of the department. Several
members added to the discussion
b.
New members were invited to submit applications. New members included
Deb Coury, Ed Coury, Robert Lee, Jim Pontone, Scott Weinstein.
c.
A quorum was present.
d.
Election of Officers:

The following members were nominated for Administrative Office and
approved by voice vote by the membership :
President:
Douglas Johnsen
Vice President: Jim Pontone
Secretary:
Ed Coury
Trustee for 3 years: John Mender
Trustee
for 2 years: Nick Langella
Trustee
for 1 year: Bill Schaller

The following active members were nominated for Command Office and
approved by voice vote by the membership :

The meeting training schedule was established as follows: Meetings
will be held at 8:00 PM on the first non-holiday Tuesday of each month.
If the first Tuesday is a Holiday, the meeting will be held on
the next following Tuesday. Association Meetings will occur on
the first Tuesday of March, June, September, and December. Drills would
be held on the First Tuesdays of January, February, April, May, July,
August, October, and November.

Roll was called as indicated in Members Present and New Members and
Roll Call form completed and filed.
4.
Adjournment
occurred at approximately 10:00. The members proceeded
to the firehouse to fit the new members with appropriate Turn-Out Gear.
