persons living with him. Almost next door is a Joseph Moore - also
without family- with three free persons living with him.

In the 1860 Federal Census, Bergen County, Harrington Township, Phoebe's
father, Samuel Sneden, now age 85, "Gentleman," was listed as head of the household (House 944;
Family 987) and living with him are grandson Jacob S. Moore, 30, "Carpenter"; Mary C.
Cooper-Moore, 23, Jacob's wife; and Samuel Moore, 17, "Farm helper" (Samuel Sneden's grandson).
The 1876 map shows Jacob's family in the Van Wickel-Moore
House.
The family is listed in the 1880 census
(House 269; Family 276). The 1900 census lists Jacob (Head, 71, carpenter)
and George (Son, 25, house painter).

grand-mother Moore's inherited property (28 Rockleigh Road) just
to the north of the Robert Newton Sneden House.

Mary Etta "Marietta" Moore
(1862 - ?) married first on 20 Jan 1876
J. Henry Banta (? - 18 Jan 1885).* Marietta married second c.1895 Charles H.
Schultz (? - pre 1930), plasterer. They resided in a small cottage on
former land of her grandmother, Phebe Ann Sneden-Moore. The cellar hole
and well exist behind the current Rockleigh Borough Hall.
In July 1879, Marietta Moore penned to
the Autograph Book of Charles Edwin Sloat, schoolmate and neighbor:
"
You
call this book a garden plot, I simply plant 'ForgetmeNot'."

Wickel-Moore House in East Northvale which became Rockleigh.****

(24 Jun 1843*-?), their second son, was
living with his family in Rockland Neighborhood at the the time of the 1860 Harrington township
census. He was listed with no age in the 1880 census (House 267; Family 274 Harrington
Township) in which occupation was listed as farm laborer. He seems not to have married.
