5-06   Hackensack Water Company will install water lines on Carterette Rd and Old Closter Rd if guaranteed $3,225.00

6-03   Contracted for street lights "from southerly boundary of the Borough to the lights at Mr Thorn's place".

6-29   Chief of Police collected $5.00 fine for J. Jene for driving without a license and is awaiting instructions as to what to do with the money.

7-01   Approved the installation of 25 more street lights to light the entire length of Carterette Road and Old Closter Road.

9-22   Approved the contract for the surfacing, building up the sides and digging ditches on Old Closter Road for $1.25 a sq. yard.

11-18 Agreement made with the Northvale Fireman's Association to protect the Borough from fire for an annual fee of $100.00

12-12 A $500 Tax Anticipation Note was obtained from the Closter National Bank, 5½ interest.

4-05  The Rockleigh Board of Education relieved the Borough from paying interest on the Borough's note.

10-22 The Borough requested that the County take over Paris Ave. as a county road and exchange property to straighten out the road.

11-01 Approval given to change the name of Old Closter Road to Rockleigh Road.

          February Annual School Election. Polls opened for one hour. School Tax of $50.00 and to vote for a decrease in the number of Board Members. Present members: Mrs Nanny M. 12-02 The Board of Freeholders were advised that the intersection of Carterette Road and Paris Avenue is a very dangerous intersection for traffic and will continue to be more dangerous with completion of changes of Paris Avenue. A synchronizing light of some kind should be installed at this point.
